Ted Veling DVM
Veterinarian
Graduated from UC Davis in 1979
BS Microbiology at San Diego State in 1975
Dr. Veling has been treating Auburn’s furry friends for over 20 years. He enjoys staying physically active by playing racquetball and mentally active by keeping up on current affairs. He loves to travel and one of his favorite places is Hawaii. Dr. Veling is also a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His pet family includes so many animals it has been suggested he build an ark.
Jamie Posthumus BVMS, MRCVS
Veterinarian, Associate
Graduated from University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 2008
Dr. Posthumus began her career as a veterinarian in Southern California, but the beauty of Auburn drew her up here to join our practice in 2012. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats and spends her free time hiking with her pups. She also tries to travel yearly. She loves watching pets grow with their families.

Office Manager
Denise started in 1993 working for our practices, where she began her career at Animal Medical Center (our sister office). Before coming back to her small animal roots at South Auburn Veterinary Hospital in May 2016, she managed our large animal office for many years. Her pet family includes 2 horses, a cat, 2 parrots, and a dog.
Shannon and Tanner
Head Receptionist
Shannon has been the face of South Auburn Veterinary Hospital since she began working at our office in 2007. Anyone who has dealt with Shannon knows that she is compassionate and knowledgeable, and will treat you and your pets like family. She enjoys horseback riding and working on vehicles. Her fur family includes 2 dogs and 2 horses.
Laura
Technician & Inventory
Laura started her career at Animal Medical Center in 2000. In 2003 she transferred to South Auburn Veterinary Hospital. She is one of our technical staff members that help our veterinarians on a daily basis. Her kind and gentle demeanor makes her a great animal technician. Laura also keeps our hospital stocked with all our product needs. The doctors look to her to research new products and equipment. Her fur family includes a dog and 2 cats.
Brittany
Receptionist
Brittany started with South Auburn Veterinary Hospital in 2018 after relocating from Southern California. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. Her positive attitude permeates through our staff and our clients. She welcomes our patients and clients in like they are part of her own family. Brittany has spent the last six eight years breeding French Bulldogs. Her four-legged family includes, 4 six Frenchies, Honey, Porter, Pixie, Murphy, Charlee, and Toots.
Katie
Kennel Associate
Katie begun her career at South Auburn Veterinary Hospital in September 2015. Along with caring for the animals, she keeps the hospital clean. Katie provides every pet with a pat and love. Our patients love her!
Genesis R.
Kennel Associate
Genesis joined us last year. This was her first year working as a kennel attendant and she has treated every animal as her own. Her four legged companion is a Labrador Retriever named Belle. Genesis enjoys spending time with Belle.
Jeri P.
Receptionist
Jeri has been working in the veterinary field for nine years. She has worked in most parts of the veterinary practice through the years. She joined us as a receptionist in 2020. Her fur babies include Rouge, a standard poodle, and a cat named Poe.
Ashlyn G.
Veterinary Assistant
Ashlyn is one our newest employees. She has worked in a pet store before starting with us. Ashlyn has several exotic pets. She owns 2 cockatiels named Koya and Keshi, a lorikeet named Loon, and has freshwater fish.

Veterinary Assistant
Ashley started in February 2020. She is one of our vet assistants. She loves helping your pets. She has a passion for hiking so you may run into her out on the trails. She has a tabby cat named Risky Business.
Emily C.
Receptionist
Emily joined us in 2020. She works as a veterinary receptionist and is always eager to greet our clients. Emily really enjoys her fur family includes Rocky, a American Staffordshire terrier and 2 cats, Ruby and Pearl. She is very active in traveling with Rocky. One of the places they enjoy to go to is the snow.
